XCOLONY members.....in case you haven't noticed, there's been an open-to-all contest going on in the Knives forum to create the coolest miniblade from a hacksaw or reciprocating saw blade....
The designs submitted were based on the M40 concept $0.10 survival knife.

While the turnout was a bit lighter than expected...
...the submissions were very cool and I'm honored to have spurred at least a couple of creative brain cells....;)
Voting is open to any and all forum members, and the winner will be receiving a new set of Dremmel accessories, a la Big_Saw...

And without further ado, here are your XCOLONY member entries....
XCOLONY VIP Member, Moderator, and T-Back Panty Extraordinaire....RustyShakelford has entered two blades...
First, the Shakelford folder....a hacksaw blade platform with tanto style blade, a wooden handle, dipped in fancy red plasti-cote and a brass blade-stop...a very cool concept...;)

Next we have the infamous and highly advertised Shakelford Blade...a fixed-blade concept fabricated from a diamond impregnated reciprocating saw blade with integrated quillions and, of course, more fancy red dip....

XCOLONY Member Freedom Defender has entered his drop-point style fixed blade knife....with a beautiful purple heart handle and integrated magnetic blade retention built into the matching scabbard. The blade is meticulously partially serrated, highly polished, and from what I hear, currently adorns his refrigerator...;)

And, since the talent pool is so dreadfully shallow for this venture, and my head is abnormally large, I'm just gonna go ahead and post my little addition to the foray for your viewing pleasure....

I encourage you to view the pictorials on all of our neat li'l pig-stickers in the Knives forum boards before voting...the step-by-step is interesting, the commentary was fun and witty, and we just had a blast tinkering and prodding at each other.....and challenge yourselves to create something useful out of something mundane from time-to-time....
Don't forget to vote in the poll for this thread, voting will be private, so nobody gets butt-hurt, and the winner will be chosen, by majority vote, tomorrow night.....
Thanks for your participation, and....
