1984 (Great rendering of Orwell's story with John Hurt as Winston Smith) Aliens (Sigourney Weaver taking on Aliens and the Eco-Wacko that protects them) Arthur (Not related to Survivalism, just a damn funny laugh-a-minute comedy) Blade Runner (Gripping dystopic story) Die Hard (Great anti-terrorist drama) Escape from New York (Kurt Russell's character "Snake" Pliskin is one bad Muthah!) Escape from Sobibor (Of course, since my signature quotes from it) Ferris Bueller's Day Off (I like the way Ferris uses technology to defeat Principal Ed Rooney and to play hookey and have a good time. In that way, it was a Cyberpunk movie) Mad Max Mad Max II: Beyond Thunderdome (Both fantastic post-"Poppy-clypse" films) The Survivors (Zany madcap comedy on Survivalism with Robin Williams and Walter Matthau)
And other great ones that I can't think of right now.
"Apocalypse is by no means inevitable." --Jim Rice.
All the "Return of the Living Dead" Movies... you know, the teenage zombies you couldn't KILL with a headshot:eek:
Iron Eagle... had to have one of the best all time movie sound tracks. Dio, Queen, Helix, and a bunch of no names that had some great tunes! Dunno how many times they showed this on HBO!!!
Maximum Overdrive... another great soundtrack all AC/DC menacing trucks, and that darn Ice Cream Truck STILL creeps me out:o
Arnold's Terminator, Commando, Predator, Conan, etc.
Unidentified Flying Oddball , a play on Connecticutt Yankee in King Aurthers Court with astronauts, loved it! (actually was in 1979 BUT screw it, I ain't deleting it)
Das Boot, love submarine flicks and this has to be one of the best!
As has been already mentioned, All the Indianna Jones flicks. Best movies ever made IMHO (well Raiders anway)...
Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan, IMHO the only action packed Star Trek that didn't get all WEIRD with the plot like the others:confused:
Frankly, I liked Rambo First Blood... cool knife...

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.
The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.
