  • WANTED: .223 / 5.56mm ammo

Anything, even reloads, need to beef up my stock, prices keep rising and I'd rather trade than keep buying and paying through the nose.

What do you have, and what do you need? Feel free to post here or PM. I have lots of different things I could trade, such as tactical gear, military surplus of all types, law enforcement gear, medical supplies, etc....

Good Luck. Everything is scarce esp .223 and .308.

I have no problem getting the ammo, as I work in law enforcement and we always have it coming in and the distributor offers a discount for private purchases, but even with the discount the price is rougly 25-35% higher than it was a year ago. I figured it may be more economical to try to trade things I already have that are excess to my needs.

I apologize, i misinterpreted the post. I do understand the pain as do most members of this site. I've done very little shooting since this madness began. But you can bet the .22LR weapons are getting exercised.

There is no such thing as "too much", welcome to the round up.

Precisely, precisely!!! I won't start to feel comfortable until I have at least 10K rounds of each caliber I need. The only caliber that I am far from that quantity with is 5.56/.223.

                5.56mm

I have a few (50 or so) boxes of the 5.56mm rounds that I have no use for and might be willing to trade them for? I will have to make an accurate count before continuing this conversation but I'm fairly sure I have right at 50 boxes. These are not reloads. If interested, leave me a private message.
                Being unprepared is giving up!

Just remember that there is a difference in pressures between the mil spec 5.56 nato and the civilian .223 rounds some rifles do have issues shooting the .223 because of it.

pretty much the same here. I bought 2,000 rounds of .223 at gander mountian a week or so ago for $340 per 1,000.
