  • 55 gallon water barrels

I was wandering around the house and taking inventory and realized something. I have food for months, plenty of ammo (if that is possible) but lacking water. So I need water barrels to start stockpiling water. What does anyone have to help me out?

    Hi Frost,

I am not sure I understand your question. :o Are you asking where you can buy some water barrels, locate them for free, or asking members if they have any to sell?

Hi Frost, this site sells the 55 gallon water barrels as well as the pump.

Hopefully someone else can jump in and tell ya where they got theirs. :) Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

In the past I have gotten the barrels from the local Coca Cola bottling plant or even the Pepsi plant. They ship the syrup to them from HQ in the plastic food grade barrels, something you may want to remember if you are buying them.

It may be worth a call to one of the above mentioned companies, if they have a nearby location and see if they will sell them or even give them to you. I got mine for free years ago, but who knows what the current policy is on them, they may recycle them now for all I know.

I know the Mrs Baird's bakery used to give them away at one time, now they sell them.
