Is your friend looking for property near any particular town? You might check real estate listings or real estate agents in that particular town. They may also have connections, or know of people in more remote areas who have property for sale.
The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you are stupid, and make bad decisions.
There was a outfit called United Farm Realty? Agency? and all they list is farms and land in the lower 48.
Have a buddy who retired in Arkansas and land was cheap there. When we got here land in large tracts was about 700.00 per acrea, then there was a big influx of horse people from Florida willing to pay top dollar and it went to $10 to 15,000.00 per acre, then the collapse came and it dropped and I am told about 3400.00 per acre now.

Have them try http://www.landwatch.com/ It's what I used to find my land in Idaho. Saw several properties in GA that were 7 and 7+ acres for $10 to $15 thousand.
"Cheap, isolated survival property in North Georgia".....
This is what a good friend of mine is looking for..... any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks guys......
I have some beautiful land for sale in the mountains of east TN not far from N Georgia. If he is looking for huge parcels I don't have but can find. I have sold most of the best farm acreage but what is left is an easily defensible mountain or knoll would be a better description one side has a vertical drop (about 300+ft) cliff face to watauga river and the sides are steep, not good to build on but real good for billy goats...Its been in the family for 60 years so if interested PM me.
you dont need to own property in order to have caches buried there. Caching and accessing caches must be done at night, showing no light, leaving no sound.

So what will you do to hide a freshly excavated hole at night?
Dig a hole and fill it with whatever you're caching and you'd leave a mound of fresh dirt. After you put your cache in the hole, you'll also leave freshly dug earth in the area. What is pathetic is you don't know why you can't conceal a freshly dug hole..
It's not "leaving no sound;" it is leaving no sign. Guess what, with no light to cover what you did; you'd leave sign.
