OK so in cleaning up some stuff I came across a pair of boots I had forgotten about. These are heavy hiking boots. Swiss made I believe. They are old, but brand new. I traded them for something a while back and just never got around to wearing them. I have really wide feet and these are more suited for someone with a regular width foot. The size is 10 1/2. Back in the eighties from whence these boots came they were highly prized by hikers for their durability, the fact that they can be resoled, they are good for banging around the rock piles we call the White Mountains. Back in the day these were 250-300 dollar boots. If anyone has interest let me know and I will post a picture. I may find some other stuff to put up to trade... it could be fun!

M1A
AR-15
AK-47
G3 clones
Browning .308 A-bolt Hunter and Micro Hunter (this takes a slightly smaller mag than the full sized A-bolt)
I'm pretty much set with mags for all of them but you can never have too many.
I'm a big 1911 guy...
looking for leather for my new Ruger Alaskan .454 Casull (2 1/2 inch barrel)
I reload (just starting but I do have everything I need but want an auto trickle powder scale)
good quality scopes are nice
ummmm... not sure... I just wanted to try and keep the swap shop here going and it is interesting to get to chat with you about these things.... what kind of recreation are you into? Where do you live? I see East Coast.. anywhere near NH?
I would say .308 7.62x51,7.62x39, .223 5.56, .45 .45LC .454 Casull, .410 ammo but that's not easy to ship....
let's just keep the communication going and we should be able to figure something out.

I personally do not have what you are looking for, but I know a few people that I can get that stuff off of. The holster I think I can get my hands on. Was there a particular style you were looking for? Or just any type of quality leather holster.
I currently live in the Raleigh Nc area. As of next week I will be in Cheyenne Wy, moving their for work.
I am into pretty much the same things as you, but I am also an avid offroader. SO anything that will go where the pavement ends, I like it.
Are you into powerlifting? I have a 1500lb capacity trap/diamond bar that I could stand to get rid of. It is valued at around 200.
Let me know, I would love to find a way to get these from you. My dad had a pair of Rockys that he bought just after he went into the Military in the early 80's. Had them re-soled three times. Well, my parents moved from Texas to Cheyenne and somehow in the move my mom threw them away. So i thought it would be nice to replace them for him.irrational-rationality.blogspot.com/

I found a picture of the holster I'm looking for.. or at least the type of holster... I am looking for this for a Super Redhawk Alaskan. But I may be dreaming. Anyway, I was thinking... those damn boots are getting under foot (yes I had to go there... I know it's a bad pun but you gotta take what you can get) Anyway, since seem to have the most interest in these AND you want them to make your Dad happy... here's what I'm suggesting... I will send them to you ... you reimburse the shipping... and if in your travels you come across a nice leather bandolier holster for a Super Redhawk Alaskan (2 1/2 in barrel) and can see your way clear to hooking me up then that's cool. If you don't come across a nice leather alaskan holster ... well then your Dad still gets the boots and sometime down the road maybe we can find another way to even up.... hell you never know ... me and a buddy may take a bike trip out Wyoming way (I've never been there) and if we do maybe you can show me some good fishing holes or something. Just a thought.... I'd rather know someone is wearing the things and getting some use out of them ... and I like that you want to give them to your Dad. Solet me know what you think.
