Yes she's 7.62x39. I live in north central VT, would be willing to travel, I would drop my asking price for someone who is local...

Sure, here are various views...sorry about the stuff in the background, I just grabbed the rifle and did this quickly...
I forgot to say...I added the rubber grip "boot" to give a better grip, personally I did not like the stock as it was. I tried to sand down the thumb area on top of that spot, you can see it in the photos, but it was a very difficult task so I just gave up and coated it with varnish. Also added a rubber butt pad, which does have a hole in it to access the tool kit inside.
When I first got the gun, I stripped it out of the stock, sanded the stock down, and put a single coat of varnish on it. The finish has stayed well over the years.

SKS - testing the waters
Thinking of parting with my SKS due to acquisition of better toys this past weekend. Just "testing the waters" now, not sure I want to sell...
She's a Norinco with all matching numbers, I am the original owner, purchased new in cosmoline in 1995. Has had less than 500 rounds through it. Bayonet lug was cut off so it could use detachable mags (two 30-round steel mags included). Cleaning rod missing. Has been kept obsessively clean (I learned firearm maintenance in the Army).
Asking (not firm price!!!) $250 + FFL fees (I do not have an FFL so would have to pay a friend of mine). No FFL fees if I find someone to sell to in person (VT/NY/NH/MA).
I think that's fair considering I saw new-in-cosmoline Yugo SKSs going for $275 each, and those are the worst quality out there.
Or trade for...what do ya have?Tags: None
